(herein after referred to as “Workmate”), and its shareholders and affiliated companies (collectively, “Workmate Group”) recognize that you should have the right to know what information we collect from you, how the data we collect is used, disclosed and shared, and what controls you have over that data once shared with us.

Workmate Group is in the business of provision of human resources and human resources management functions.

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to all information collected by Workmate Group and any corporate affiliates for current and former consumers in connection with all the products, services, websites, microsites and mobile applications we offer on behalf of ourselves or others.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and contact us if you have any questions or concerns. You may rest assured that Workmate Group take privacy and security seriously and are receptive to any feedback on these issues. We assume that you have read and agreed to our Privacy Policy for your acknowledgement and consent to our collection and use of your Personal and Nonpersonal Information for the purposes as set out in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is subject to the terms and conditions contained in Workmate’s set of Services Terms and Conditions between the parties who use Workmate’s Services (“T&Cs”) and is made a part thereof. Any term not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning specified in the T&Cs. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms of this Privacy Policy and the terms of the T&Cs, the terms of this Privacy Policy shall govern and prevail.

What information does Workmate collect?

We may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide. When you interact with any Workmate Services, we collect the information that you choose to share with us. For example, most of our Services require you to set up a basic account, so we need to collect a few important details about you, hereinafter called “Personal Information”, such as: your title and full name, username and password you choose for your profile, your email address, your physical address, your location, your phone number, your date of birth, and your financial details. Additionally, we collect further information about you that is not Personal Information, hereinafter called “Nonpersonal Information”, such as: your feedback and survey responses, your preferences in receiving marketing from us, and your communication preferences. To make it easier for others to find you, we may also ask you to provide us with some additional information that will be publicly visible on our Services, such as profile pictures, your weight, your job experience and qualifications, or other useful identifying information. When you contact customer support or communicate with us in any other way, we will collect whatever information you volunteer. We receive and store the information you enter on Workmate Website or mobile application or you otherwise provide us in any other way. Please note that wherever we provide examples of information in this Privacy Policy, the examples are not intended to be an exhaustive list.

Information from cookies. When you visit a Workmate Website or click on a banner advertisement, we may send one or more cookies to your computer or any other device.

You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some Workmate Website features or services may not function properly without cookies.

Log and other information. When you access a Workmate Website, email, advertisement, or other content served by or on behalf of us on other websites, microsites or mobile applications, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website.

These server logs typically include your web request, internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or Account(s) to us.

Other actions, such as interactions with advertisements, may also be included in our server logs. During your visits to our website, microsites or mobile application, we may use software tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

Surveys. The Workmate website or mobile application may request permission to send you emails containing links to surveys in which we would like you to participate, and may also present you with surveys within the application itself. If you participate in these surveys, we will collect your answers to the surveys.

How does Workmate use my information?

Managing your Account(s). We use the Personal and Nonpersonal Information we collect to manage your Account(s).

In addition, we may use the Nonpersonal Information to keep you updated of new features and service developments as well as to provide more relevant offers to you.

Contacting you. We may use the Personal and Nonpersonal Information we receive from you or third parties to contact you via email, direct mail, telephone or other channels such as text messaging, Facebook and Twitter, in each case provided by agreeing to this Privacy Policy you are deemed to have permitted us to send such communications to you and you have not otherwise opted out of receiving them. We may also use your contact information to provide you administrative communications from time to time.

For market research purposes. We may use the Personal and Nonpersonal Information we collect for the purpose of our internal anonymous market research reports.

This includes using the Personal Information and Nonpersonal Information relating to conduct market research, analysis and surveys (at times in conjunction with our preferred Partners or Customers) in order to understand your preferences, develop new products and services, or personalize or otherwise improve the products and services we offer you.

Your Personal and Nonpersonal Information shall NOT be sold to third parties for the purposes of marketing to you.

To develop, evaluate, improve and deliver our products and services. We use the Personal and Nonpersonal Information we collect to develop, evaluate, improve and deliver our product and services.

For example, if we learn from the information we collect that certain types of Partners or categories of products or services are highly valuable to Registered Users, we may offer more services for those courses products.

To deliver personalized advertisements and other information to you. We may use the information we collect to deliver advertisements about our products and services, and/or the products and services of our Customers and/or Partners or others on our website, other websites, mobile applications, or in other marketing channels.

For example, we may use the registering information we collect about you to deliver to you, via one or more of those channels, advertisements that we, or the parties whose products or services we are promoting, think may be of interest to you.

We also may engage third party advertising networks to deliver these advertisements. These networks use cookies and similar technologies to personalize the advertising content you see and to measure the effectiveness of the advertisements they deliver. 

These companies are authorized to use the information we provide and they collect when you navigate to a website within the ad network to provide this service to us.

Fulfill legal and regulatory requirements. We may disclose your Personal and Nonpersonal Information we collect to comply with legal investigations, subpoena or search warrant, court proceedings and orders, disclosure as requested by the authority, national, municipal, or other applicable laws and regulations.

Protect the rights or property of Workmate or our Registered Users. We also may use the Personal and Nonpersonal Information we collect to the extent we believe it is necessary or appropriate to enforce or apply our rights under our agreements with Registered Users, and/or to protect the rights, property or safety of Workmate, our Registered Users and others. 

How does Workmate share your information?

Personal Information We may share masked or hashed versions of Personal Information with our Customers or with Partners or any third parties for the purpose of conducting market research only and not for the purpose of marketing to you from third party.

Contests, sweepstakes and surveys. We may promote or offer contests, sweepstakes, similar promotional offers or surveys that may be co-sponsored by Workmate and one or more other companies, or may be sponsored by companies other than Workmate.

Some or all of the Personal Information collected through these offers or surveys may be shared with the sponsor(s) or other companies indicated on the entry form, in the governing rules or on the survey, as applicable.

Agents and service providers. We engage other companies and individuals to perform certain services and functions on our behalf. For example, we may engage third parties to send email and postal mail, analyze data, provide marketing services, process applications, provide search results and links (including paid listings and links), and provide customer service.

We shall use our best efforts to contractually obligate these service providers to access and use the Personal Information we make available to them only as needed to perform their functions and for no other purposes.

Third-party companies. We may share masked or hashed versions of the personally identifiable information we collect with third-party market research and other unaffiliated companies who may use the information for any legally permissible purpose including but not limited to matching to additional data sets, data analysis and research reports.

Information we share with nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law We reserve the right to disclose Personal Information to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Business transfers. If there is a change of control in Workmate’s business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise), your Personal and Nonpersonal Information could be included as part of that a transaction and could be used by the relevant counterparts.

Protection of Workmate and others. We may disclose Personal and Nonpersonal Information about you to third parties when we believe such disclosure is appropriate to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena or search warrant, or in the course of a legal proceeding.

We may also disclose Personal and Nonpersonal Information as we believe appropriate to enforce or apply our rights under our agreements with Registered Users, to protect the rights, property or safety of Workmate, our Registered Users and others, including exchanging information for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

With your consent. In addition to the above, we may share Personal and Nonpersonal Information about you with others to the extent you consent to such sharing. 

Nonpersonal Information. We may provide Nonpersonal Information about you to Clients, Partners or others for marketing, analysis and other purposes. For example, your purchase information may be aggregated with the purchase information of other Registered Users and analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of certain award offers or advertisements, and the results of that analysis may be shared with Clients, Partners, or others.

Security of Your Personal Information. Workmate Group is committed to earning and keeping your trust. We understand the need for your Personal and Nonpersonal Information to remain secure and private, and we have implemented security practices and procedures designed to safeguard your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Only Workmate employees and service providers who need to use it as part of their jobs are authorized to have access to your Personal and Nonpersonal Information. Please remember that you also play a valuable part in data security. You should never share your Account password, if applicable, with anyone.

If you feel your password has been compromised, you should change it immediately. After you have finished using our mobile application or website(s), you should log out of your Account and exit your browser so that no unauthorized persons can use our website under your name or Account.

Online Forums. Please note that any Personal or Nonpersonal Information you voluntarily include in bulletin boards, chat rooms and other online forums we may offer may be viewed and used by anyone with access to those forums. Workmate is unable to control any use of such Personal or Nonpersonal Information.

Collection of Information from Children 

None of our products or services is intended for use or purchase by children. Accordingly, Workmate does not knowingly collect, either online or offline, information from children under the age of 17 (seventeen). If you believe that we might have any information from a child under age 17 (seventeen), please contact us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy 

Please note Workmate reserves the right to modify and updates this Privacy Policy from time to time so please review it frequently. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice in our mobile application, our website or by email to the email address we have on file in your Account. 

Each version of this Privacy Policy will be identified at the top of the Privacy Policy by its effective date, and we will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.

Data Retention 

We may maintain your Personal and Unpersonal Information for our records for 2 year after your last engagement or actions with Workmate unless and until you ask us to destroy your information, which ever occurs first.

Respecting your Consent and Access to Personal Information

If you wish to access the Personal or Nonpersonal Information that we have relating to you, inquire about the ways in which such Personal or Nonpersonal Information relating to you has been or may have been used or disclosed by Workmate within the past year, or wish to withdraw your consent to our use of such Personal or Nonpersonal Information, you may contact us at info@Workmate.asia. We will seek to attend to your request as best as we reasonably can.

Key Terms

Account means an account you establish with Workmate.

Applicable Law means the Laws of Singapore.

Cookie means a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. When you visit the website again, the cookie allows that site to recognize your browser. Cookies may store user preferences and other information.

Nonpersonal Information means any information about you that is not Personal Information.

Personal Information means information stated in your national identification card, passport, other forms of personal identification, and other information that can be used to identify you directly or indirectly. Personal Information may also include your title and full name, username and password you choose for your profile, your email address, your physical address, your location, your phone number, your date of birth, and your financial details

Registered User means an individual or entity that registers to receive any service provided by us, such as through our website or mobile application.

Workmate or our website means any website Workmate and its affiliated companies host or otherwise operate.
